The Pump Shed serves tea, coffee, delicious cakes, savoury snacks and ice creams a stone's throw from the centre of Bath. Ideally positioned at Lock 11 on the Kennet and Avon Canal in Widcombe, the Pump Shed offers a vantage point for the hub of activity of canal boats using the locks. Located only yards away from mooring points, bicycle hire and boat trips, the Pump Shed is an ideal start or finish to the pleasant walks stretching from Bristol to as far as Reading.
And of course the World Heritage City of Bath is only minutes away on foot with the Roman Baths & Pump Room, the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge and fantastic shops all waiting to be explored. Alternatively it is a perfect place for boaters, cyclists and walkers to take a breather in a stunning setting, relaxing and savouring one of the most beautiful parts of the restored Kennet and Avon Canal, a haven for wildlife.
The Pump Shed is located on the site of the original Pumping Station at Horseshoe Pond, a spot marked by the building's chimney, which stands as a dramatic monument to days gone by.
